Classic European apartment living meets modern Australian coastal design

A little bit coastal. A little bit vintage. A little bit dramatic in the best way.

This Coogee apartment concept was designed to sit somewhere between classic European apartment living and modern Australian coastal design - layered with warm timber tones, sculptural curves, soft neutral cabinetry, and bold veined stone that brings depth and contrast to the space.

The intention was never for the apartment to feel conservative or minimal. Instead, the focus was on creating a home that feels calm, collected, and just a little bit unexpected.

Projects like this are a great example of why visualising a space in 3D before construction can be so valuable. Materials and finishes rarely exist in isolation. The warmth of parquetry flooring changes the way a stone feels. Curved joinery softens stronger lines. Lighting, shelving, textures, and colour placement all influence the atmosphere of the room as a whole.

Through the rendering process, we were able to explore how those details interacted together before any final decisions were locked in - creating clarity around both the aesthetic direction and the feeling the client wanted the apartment to have.

The final concept feels layered, relaxed, and refined without losing personality - designed to feel elevated enough to impress, but comfortable enough to truly live in.
