Designing Healthcare Spaces That Feel Calm and Welcoming

The experience of a healthcare space begins long before an appointment.

It starts the moment someone walks through the door.

For this commercial project CMY Design created a reception and waiting area that feels calm, welcoming and thoughtfully considered. Soft materials, natural timber tones and a warm neutral palette work together to create an environment that helps people feel comfortable while they wait.

Photorealistic 3D renders played an important role in the design process, allowing the layout, joinery, materials and finishes to be explored before construction began. Seeing the space as a whole gave the design team confidence that every element worked together to achieve the intended atmosphere.

Whether it’s a family home, a commercial office or a healthcare facility, the design process is always about more than selecting colours and materials.

It’s about creating clarity.

It’s about building confidence in every decision.

And it’s about ensuring everyone involved - from designers and builders through to cabinet makers and trades - is working towards the same vision.

Because great design isn’t just about how a space looks.

It’s about how it makes people feel. Designer | CMY Design 3D Renders | melodee g miller
